Uses
To dress, protect and support the various operative sites in the head, neck and face, following surgeries performed by neurological, head & neck, cosmetic and oral surgeons.
NeoTectus-Postop is used immediately following surgery as a secondary dressing to hold a primary sterile dressing in place, protecting the surgical incisions.
What is NeoTectus?
NeoTectus-Recovery is worn as a head/neck/face “compression garment” to apply gentle pressure to the underlying surgical sites to support the wound healing process during the recovery period.
"The Old Standard"
The use of gauze rolls (made of 100% cotton) for postoperative head dressing has been the standard for over 100 years. This technique gained wide popularity, particularly after military surgeons in WWI were faced with treating large numbers of soldiers with head and brain injuries. This method and the material used are associated with several critical shortcomings: Difficult and time-consuming to apply (3-5 minutes following brain surgery, 10 minutes following facelift), painful to wear, fail-prone (slippage) and unsightly.

How NeoTectus was born
In my nearly 40 years of neurosurgical career consisting of over 7000 brain operations (“craniotomies”) and as many head dressings, I have had a long-standing dissatisfaction with the current technique and the material used to dress the head following surgery due to several serious flaws associated with the old turban-like, gauze-roll dressing. I finally decided to do something to change a tradition that is over 100 years old.
After 2 years of research, development, clinical trials and design refinements, the final version of NeoTectus was created, rectifying all major shortcomings of the “old standard” head dressing.
What's in the name "NeoTectus"?
NeoTectus combines the Greek word 'Neo' (new) with the Latin word 'Tectus' (covered, protected, or guarded) to signify a new standard in dressing head and neck incisions. Reflecting the origin of its name, NeoTectus is dedicated to pioneering advancements in medical garments, setting new benchmarks for quality and effectiveness in postoperative recovery.

Please be advised that NeoTectus is a patented (USA) and FDA-registered medical device, developed by an internationally renowned neurosurgeon. It is manufactured in the USA utilizing the material that the latest fabric technology has to offer. NeoTectus is intentionally designed to provide optimal compression that is evenly distributed over the surgical incisions following brain surgery and facelift procedures to minimize postoperative swelling.
Neotectus is not meant to be a loosely fitting “beanie” with a facial band. It is intentionally and specifically designed to have a snug fit to serve its purpose of promoting optimal healing. Some customers viewed this intentional design as “ill-fitting” or the device to be “too small.” For those of you who are claustrophobic or do not normally like to wear garments or hats that are snug, please choose a different product. xReturns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
